Here you can find out what Rate Shopper does for you.
Goal of Rate Shopper
As mentioned in our article on Autopilot, we at happyhotel firmly believe that it can be very helpful to know the pricing strategies of competitors in the hotel market. In this way, you can analyse your own decisions in order to make informed daily price adjustments. That's why we developed Rate Shopper.
Rate Shopper is primarily intended to provide an overview of the day-to-day situation of your direct competition. In addition to the algorithm's price recommendations, which are generated by your hotel's own data, you can feed the rate shopper's data into the algorithm as a secondary source.
Rate Shopper subscription options
There are two tariffs for Rate Shopper:
If you are interested in Rate Shopper, please contact our sales team, who will be happy to set it up for you. You will be sent a link to a form for this purpose. In the form, enter your hotel details and the hotel names of your desired competitors.
As soon as processing is complete (usually 2-3 working days), the competitor function will appear in the menu area in happyhotel.
This is how the comparison looks in the price calendar
❓ What does ‘median’ mean? The value that lies exactly in the centre of a data distribution is called the median or central value.
⏺ Example: In the picture we have the following prices: €109.48, €115, €127.30
The median here would be €121.15. Since €115 and €127.30 are close to the middle, we take half of the sum of the two.
❗ The median is not the average value. The average of these values would be €117.
