The competitor line says ‘Sold out’.

Find out what that means here.

You may see in the competitor line that you are shown as being sold out, even though you have availability and the hotel is not fully booked.

This is what it looks like:

There are the following reasons for this:

  • If you or your competitors do not have any offers for certain conditions (e.g. breakfast included), they will be displayed as ‘Sold out’.

In other words, if a ‘Non-cancellable rate’ is selected in the settings, all rooms that are bookable with your competitors will be filtered according to this criterion.

A competitor who does not have a non-cancellable rate available for booking would then be displayed as ‘”Sold out’. The more flexible or unspecific you want the settings to be, the more different rates and conditions will be displayed. You can of course draw many different, specific conclusions and incorporate corresponding decisions into your pricing strategy.

  • The minimum length of stay (MinLos) is longer than 3 days or Close To Arrival (CTA) applies for the day

If a restriction is set for a few days, these prices cannot be shopped for technical reasons. For this reason, your hotel is shown as sold out.
