How to store pricing strategies in the calendar
Pricing strategies are a powerful feature that allows you to have more control over pricing without directly influencing the results of machine learning. Pricing strategies are handled in a similar way to events and you can easily create and manage them in the pricing calendar.
I'll show you how to add and edit pricing strategies in the calendar.
Remark: What is the difference between pricing strategy:event and pricing strategy:season?
For example, if you define 2 price strategies for the same period, one as a season and one as an event, then the prices of price strategy:event are taken into account for this period.
Case study: A seasonal pricing strategy can extend over a longer period of time. It is after all a season. However, there are always certain days that need to be organised differently. This is where pricing strategy:event helps. This is because it allows you to set new prices for certain periods whilst, at the same time, maintaining the seasonal pricing strategy without disrupting the entire period.
These strategies can be used for seasonal periods, for example, to better control prices on certain days of the week and to set minimum and maximum prices.
This is the pricing strategy in the price calendar:
It is also possible to duplicate pricing strategies and copy settings from one strategy to another.
Creating pricing strategies from events
You can also change events that you have created, but would now like to use as a pricing strategy with a single click. This means that the data no longer needs to be re-entered.
Tip: Pricing strategies and events can also be combined well with each other
